Ask what the compact layout offers your party

Request photographs showing the seats, installed cover and any table arrangement. Decide whether the day needs a light refreshment stop or a more substantial served meal; those are different demands on a compact space.

Cranchi’s technical table lists 11.70 metres overall and 3.49 metres of hull beam, while introductory manufacturer copy gives a different overall figure. Confirm the actual vessel’s dimensions from its documents. Two described cabins are useful layout information, but they do not establish a licensed day-charter allowance.

Keep the coastal programme proportionate

The Bonifacio cliffs may give a smaller outing a satisfying focus without an ambitious string of destinations. Discuss the time available and the group’s comfort with the captain. If Lavezzi is essential, ask the operator to assess whether the proposed yacht and conditions suit that plan rather than assuming every model is interchangeable.

A sports-cruiser appearance is not an assurance of a comfortable passage in every sea state. Explain guests’ experience and any concerns about motion. The operator should offer a workable alternative and clear change terms, so the decision does not rest on an attractive photograph taken in flat water.

Inspect the facilities below and the access above

Cabin facilities can be valuable for changing, using the toilet or taking a brief indoor break. Ask about steps, headroom and ventilation on the offered Z35. Do not assume that the whole party can sit below together or that a day-charter arrangement automatically includes an overnight stay.

For swimming, consider the bathing ladder and the return aboard after exertion. For guests who stay dry, consider seats away from wet equipment. Both need the crew’s assessment at a suitable permitted stop.

A compact yacht should be selected through the needs of the people aboard, not through a simple minimum-length rule.

Be precise about a comparable yacht

If you would accept an alternative, say which features should remain: a shared cockpit, sufficient cover, a toilet and the intended hours of use. A larger substitute is not necessarily more convenient if boarding or the layout changes in ways that matter to the group. Ask the proposal to identify the hull, skipper, guest allowance and Bonifacio boarding point, then explain fuel and refreshment charges.

Any shore meal or activity needs its own arrangement. This guide introduces a compact model for enquiry; it does not claim a local Z35, an approved island landing or confirmed charter availability.
