Changes, weather and cancellation
Ask how the contract distinguishes a changed route from a cancelled outing. The operator’s terms determine the financial outcome.
Your private charter

Before booking
Ask the supplying operator’s agreement to explain cancellation dates, deposits and moving the trip to another day. Third-party charges need attention as well, because catering, berth and event-service terms may differ from the charter terms.
When plans change
Tell the operator promptly what you want to change and include the booking reference. The original terms and available options apply. A new date or additional guests must be confirmed again rather than assumed to fit the outing.
Operational decisions
The captain’s assessment determines whether the passage and activities are suitable. Ask the agreement to explain the process for an alternative, a postponed departure and cancellation. A shorter or changed route must not be assumed to have the same consequences as a cancelled charter.

Describe the day you want to protect
Tell us the date, your party and what would make the outing worthwhile. Include any crossing concerns so alternatives can be considered from the start.
