Time in the sea, planned around southern Corsica
Start with the water experience your group wants, then let the Bonifacio route take shape around it. A long swim and a day spent reaching several places ask different things of the yacht and the weather.

Separate the destination from the activity
Choose what you want to do before choosing a name on the map. Seeing the cliffs, swimming near a suitable island stop and going ashore are different requests. Explain the priority to the captain, then discuss whether Lavezzi, Piantarella or another permitted stop fits the conditions and the time available.
Avoid making an island stop the only successful outcome of the booking. Southern Corsica needs a practical alternative if the sea state changes. Ask what kind of shorter coastal programme could replace the original route, and whether it would still leave the group a worthwhile day aboard even without an activity.
Use the reserve’s rules for the actual location
The Réserve Naturelle des Bouches de Bonifacio publishes its regulations and reserve map. The supplying captain and any activity specialist should check the relevant area and current requirements before confirming an anchorage or activity. A broad reference to Bonifacio or Lavezzi cannot establish permission for every stretch of water.
Describe any powered equipment, diving or guided activity explicitly. Ask who will provide it, the operating location and the qualifications and supervision involved. Do not treat these as automatic extras to a yacht rental.
A preference can be discussed in the enquiry without being presented as an available package.
Examine the return from the water
A yacht’s ladder and bathing platform matter once guests are tired or the surface has become less settled. Request photographs of the actual access arrangement and discuss who may need help. Let the crew assess suitability before the day; a large yacht is not necessarily the easiest one for every guest to board from the sea.
If masks, fins or paddleboards are requested, confirm the sizes, quantities and what the crew can supervise. Give children’s ages and describe swimming confidence. Guests who stay dry should have a comfortable place to sit away from wet equipment, with shade and an unobstructed route to the interior.
Keep the proposal specific
A useful offer names the yacht, the planned activity, the equipment and the provider responsible for it. It also shows any additional charge and what happens if that part of the day is cancelled while the charter itself proceeds. Clarify this before organising a separate meal or transfer around a fixed activity time.
In your request, identify one essential experience and any optional additions. Include the group size, relevant abilities, preferred duration and return requirement in Bonifacio. Leave the exact stop for the captain to assess with the applicable rules and conditions, while making your group’s priorities clear.
