Plan the service realistically
Ask how many people can sit together and where the meal will be served. A yacht may carry a larger cruising party than its table can accommodate at once. A simple prepared lunch, buffet and chef-led meal involve different equipment and crew.
The galley shown in a picture does not establish what service is included. Agree the menu, dietary requirements, drinks and provisioning with the operator. If guests want to bring food, ask about storage and what is permitted aboard the proposed vessel.
Let the captain choose the setting
A scenic stop near the Corsican coast must suit the yacht, weather and local restrictions. Avoid making the meal depend on a single unconfirmed anchorage. The crew can discuss when service fits best around the passage.
Going ashore for lunch adds a landing arrangement and reservation, with time for both. If the group values a quiet day more than a specific restaurant, eating aboard can leave more freedom. The proposal should explain the charter and catering costs separately enough to understand what changes if the plan is adjusted.
