Yacht charter with skipper in Bonifacio
In the strait and protected water, the skipper needs a clear priority and room for judgement. Share the purpose of the trip before fixing its details.

A useful route conversation
Tell the skipper what the group hopes to see and how comfortable everyone is on the water. A close coastal viewing day differs from an island stop or a passage across the strait. The yacht, conditions and rules determine the safe practical plan.
A preferred anchorage is not an instruction to use it regardless of the day. Ask for an alternative that preserves the purpose of the outing if the original route changes. Guests should understand that a sensible adjustment can be part of a well-run charter, not evidence that the crew ignored the brief.
Navigation and service are separate
Confirm whether the skipper is included in the quoted price and whether any additional crew will be aboard. Serving a formal meal, guiding an activity or supervising children is not automatically the captain's role. Specify those needs when requesting the yacht.
The proposal should name the vessel and supplying operator, permitted passengers and the intended operating area. Ask how weather decisions are made and what the contract says about a trip that cannot operate. Final boarding instructions should identify the actual Bonifacio berth, not just the harbour name.
Charter questions
How do I explain concerns about the crossing?
Include them with the party’s needs at the first enquiry. Describe whether a short passage, a sheltered pause or time aboard matters most, so the proposed programme can be assessed before you commit.
